Shares of Hindalco Industries rose nearly 5 per cent on the Bombay Stock Exchange amid surge in the volume trade. According to data available with exchange, as much as 4.02 lakh shares have changed hand over the counter as compared to two-week average of 3.90 lakh shares.
Driven by volume trade, shares of the company gained 4.87 per cent to trade at of Rs 278.75 apiece on the Bombay Stock Exchange.
In a similar fashion, shares of the firm were trading 4.40 per cent higher at Rs 277.45 apiece on the National Stock Exchange.
Meanwhile, the broader benchmark BSE Sensex was trading at 33,925.64, up 13.83 points, or 0.04 per cent, at 12:00 hours.
