Shares of Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) surged 10 per cent on the Bombay Stock Exchange amid surge in volume trade. According to data available with exchange, as much as 42.58 lakh shares have changed hand on the counter till 12:10 hours, as compared to two week average of 30.01 lakh shares.
Driven by volume trade, shares of the company gained as much as 9.99 per cent to trade at intra-day high of Rs 145.80 apiece on the Bombay Stock Exchange.
In a similar fashion, shares of the company were trading 7.63 per cent higher at Rs 142.45 apiece on the National Stock Exchange.
Meanwhile, the broader benchmark BSE Sensex was trading at 32,196.40, up 9.99 points, or 0.03 per cent, at 12:15 hours.
