Shares of Ujaas Energy rose nearly 2 per cent on Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) after receiving a letter of intent for 10 megawatts of Teesta Canal Fall Hydroelectric Power Plant, Haptiagachh, Uttar Dinajpur, West Bengal.
Ujaas Energy said that it has received a letter of intent for a project worth about Rs 65.88 crore for design & engineering, manufacturing/procurement, supply, installation, testing and commissioning including warrantee obligation, for 10 megawatts (MW) of Teesta Canal Fall Hydroelectric Power Plant, Stage-II at Haptiagachh in West Bengal.
Reacting to the news, shares of company gained 1.99 per cent in intra-day trade to Rs 15.85 apiece on the BSE.
In a similar trend, shares of the company surged 1.93 per cent to Rs 15.85 a piece on National Stock Exchange.
Meanwhile, the broader benchmark BSE Sensex was trading at 25,611.15, down 40.69 points, or 0.16 per cent, at 11:13 hours.
